Atulmax — Modified Nickel Screen with Supreme Performance for Sugar Continuous Centrifugals
Atulmax is Atul Enterprises’ proprietary high-performance nickel micro screen, engineered to deliver measurably better results than standard screens in sugar continuous centrifugals — more yield, lower molasses purity, and a longer operational life, in a single product.
the problem atulmax solves
Standard Screens Leave Yield on the Table. Read below to know why.
A standard nickel micro screen with a 9% open area for B massecuite is a compromise. It is designed to work adequately across a range of conditions — not to optimise any one of them. Mills that run standard screens have two options when they want more performance: run the centrifugal faster (which increases wear and energy consumption) or accept the yield and purity levels the screen delivers.
Atulmax removes this compromise. By modifying three interdependent parameters — open area, slot width, and screen thickness — simultaneously and in a controlled relationship, we have created a screen that delivers more throughput, more sugar recovery, and longer life — without requiring any change to your machine settings or operating procedure.
key benefits of using atulmax modified nickel screens
Higher Open Area → More Throughput
Atulmax for B massecuite achieves 11.5% open area compared to 9% on a standard screen. This 27% increase in open area allows significantly more massecuite to pass through per rotation of the centrifugal. The result is higher throughput at the same machine speed — or the same throughput at lower speed, reducing energy consumption and mechanical wear.
Smaller Slots → More Sugar, Less Molasses Loss
The Atulmax 'lower molasses purity' configuration uses tighter slot widths — 0.07mm for B massecuite (versus 0.09mm standard) and 0.05mm for C massecuite (versus 0.06mm standard). These tighter slots retain more sugar crystals in the centrifugal basket, improving sugar recovery and reducing the sugar content of the outgoing molasses. Higher recovery means more sellable product from every tonne of cane crushed.
Increased Thickness → Fewer Replacements
Atulmax screens are manufactured at greater thickness than standard screens. This directly extends operational life — measured in tonnes of massecuite processed before the screen reaches its wear limit. Fewer replacements per crushing season means lower spare part spend, less maintenance downtime, and fewer emergency procurement situations when suppliers have limited stock.
99.99% Pure S-Nickel
We source only S-grade nickel — the highest purity category — for our electroforming bath. Higher nickel purity means a more uniform crystal structure, lower internal stress, and better resistance to the corrosive environment inside a sugar centrifugal.
14–16 Micron Chrome
Our hard chrome plating is applied at 14–16 microns — two to four microns above the 12–14 micron industry norm. Thicker chrome means a harder surface, reduced slot enlargement during operation, and a measurably longer screen life.
Automated Electroforming
Every slot is formed by our fully automated electroforming process — not cut or punched — ensuring perfectly consistent slot width, smooth internal walls, and burr-free edges that protect sugar crystals from damage.
Low Internal Stress
Our electroforming parameters are calibrated to produce screens with minimal internal stress, eliminating the warping and deformation that can occur with poorly manufactured screens at high centrifugal speeds.

HOW TO CHOOSE
Which Atulmax Configuration is Right for You?
Choose Atulmax — More Output (higher open area, same slot width) if: your current screen is a throughput bottleneck, your machine runs below rated capacity, or you want to increase tonnes processed per hour without changing machine parameters.
Choose Atulmax — Lower Molasses Purity (tighter slot, same open area) if: your molasses purity is higher than target, you are losing recoverable sugar into the molasses stream, or you want to improve the net sugar recovery percentage from your crop.
Not sure which applies to your situation? Send us your current screen specification and recent molasses purity data — our technical team will recommend the right configuration.

Location Advantage
Located Where It Matters Most
Plot No. G-93, MIDC Area, Ahilyanagar (Ahmednagar), Maharashtra 414111 — our location is not incidental. Ahmednagar district sits at the centre of Maharashtra’s sugar industry, with major mills in Kolhapur, Solapur, Nanded, Pune, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar all within practical delivery reach.
For Indian sugar mills, this means shorter lead times, lower freight costs, and a supplier who understands the local crushing calendar — and can move fast when you need an urgent replacement before the season begins.
For international buyers, our MIDC address is well-served by freight logistics to Nhava Sheva (JNPT), India’s busiest container port, enabling reliable shipping timelines to ports across Asia and Africa.
